Chase the Moment is a young passionate five-person outfit creating a refreshing and memorable sound, and is exploding into the national consciousness. They originally formed in Dec 2007 under the name Paralysis, and changed the Bands name to Chase the Moment in March 2009. They have already appeared on local radio and played at many locations across the Northwest UK. Socially conscious, Chase the Moment have also played at fund raising events for local and national charity organizations
The band members include Laura Yell (lead vocals, bass guitar), Matt Rhodes (lead guitar), Louis Limon (keys), Ant Richardson (rhythm guitar), and Conrad Ankers (drums).
“We live to perform”, says Laura Yell. “Our only goal in our lives right now is to spread our music as far and wide as possible.” Matt Rhodes adds, “Our music has provided us with a lot of experiences that we wouldn’t have had otherwise, we feel very honored each time we play for a crowd, I hope that people will relate to our music, and to the five of us. That’s what makes playing music so rewarding.” Conrad says ”We don’t really know how it all came together! It just did, to be honest! ”. Louis follows on ”We want to reach the people of today with our music. Ant feels that ” The band is passionate about their music, but at the same time is full of fun. ”
The bands’s earnest emotion, driving guitars, and Laura’s strikingly confident range and phrasing set Chase the Moment apart from the pack, with songs such as “Time for Change” and “I’ll Miss You” evincing a passionate positivism that can’t help but move every listener in its path.
Chase the Moment have always writen their own music, and have started recording their demos. They will soon to be recording their debut album and EP, and are currently gigging all over the north-west!
